Why Choose Kömmerling uPVC?
Kömmerling uPVC profile systems combine German engineering with performance developed for Australian conditions. Their multi-chambered construction, compatible high-performance glazing and durable, low-maintenance surfaces make them suitable for new homes and renovations.
The Kömmerling C70 Gold system uses a five-chamber profile and can accommodate glazing up to 40 mm. Published system information lists typical profile U-values of 1.6–1.8 W/(m²K) and sound insulation up to 41 dB, depending on the complete window or door configuration.

What Are The Benefits
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Windows can be a major source of unwanted heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter. Kömmerling C70 Gold uses a five-chamber uPVC profile designed to improve thermal insulation. When combined with suitable double glazing and professional installation, it can help maintain more stable indoor temperatures and reduce heating and cooling demand. Actual whole-window performance varies by glass, size, orientation and configuration.
SECURITY
Selected Kömmerling window and door systems use steel reinforcement and multi-point locking hardware to provide strength and enhanced security. The complete security level depends on the chosen profile, glazing, locks, hardware and professional installation.
NOISE REDUCTION
Correctly specified double glazing can reduce traffic, aircraft, neighbourhood and general outside noise. Kömmerling publishes sound insulation of up to 41 dB for the C70 Gold system. Real-world results depend on the glass selection, cavity, seals, opening style, installation and the type and frequency of the noise.
WEATHER RESISTANCE
Kömmerling uPVC profiles are designed and tested for Australian UV and weather exposure. uPVC does not rust, and the system’s weather seals help control air and water infiltration. Kömmerling publishes water-tightness testing up to 1000 Pa for C70 Gold configurations. Every window and door must still be selected and installed for the project’s location, exposure, size and relevant AS 2047 requirements.
